About The Position

EJ is hiring a Material Handler at its Phoenix, New York branch. The role supports and assists the sales function by moving, loading, and unloading materials and products. The employee reads work orders or follows oral instructions to determine which materials need to be moved, and uses a forklift or manual handling to move materials. They secure loads with strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage during transit, and clean the work area, machines, and equipment. The position works an 8-hour shift with a 30-minute lunch break. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or one to three months of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Driver's license.
Forklift license.
Ability to perform the essential duties satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.

Load and unload materials onto or from pallets and trucks by hand or forklift.
Install strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent materials from shifting or being damaged in transit.
Lift heavy objects by hand or with a forklift.
Clean the work area, machines, and equipment.
Operate a forklift to assist with loading, unloading, or moving materials and products.
