About The Position

Boise Cascade is hiring a Material Handler (Forklift Operator) to receive, select, and load materials; operate a forklift; verify orders; and support customers and coworkers. The role is based in a high-traffic warehouse and yard and involves physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions. Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or at least 2 years of equivalent experience.
• Ability to understand and follow safety and work instructions.
• Comfort with physical work in all weather conditions.
• Ability to use hand tools and a chainsaw.

Nice To Haves

• Forklift experience, particularly with sit-down/counterbalance forklifts.
• Familiarity with building materials.
• Ability to measure and calculate material lengths.

Responsibilities

• Receive, select, and load materials.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Verify order accuracy after packaging and loading.
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work with team members to fulfill orders and complete daily tasks.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Follow safety procedures and OSHA requirements.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
