About The Position

The Material Handler – Wrap Line (Loader) keeps furniture moving through the wrap line and prepares upholstered furniture for shipment. The role supports the final stages of production by inspecting products for quality, wrapping and boxing furniture, and staging shipments. The Loader handles furniture carefully and ensures it meets company standards before shipping. The role emphasizes teamwork, accountability, efficiency, and a positive workplace.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong attention to detail to identify quality issues before wrapping.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Forklift certification is required for forklift use.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or material-handling role.
Experience handling upholstered furniture.
Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain a steady flow of furniture through the wrap line by pushing products forward and staging them for wrapping.
Wrap upholstered furniture in protective materials, build boxes, and load products into boxes using the conveyor system.
Work with team members to keep the wrap line stocked and moving efficiently.
Visually inspect furniture for cosmetic damage and compliance with quality standards before wrapping.
Identify and report quality concerns to supervisors before products proceed through wrapping.
Roll and stage wrapped products in designated shipping areas.
Safely and efficiently load and unload furniture onto and off trucks.
Organize and manage the wrap line area to prevent congestion and maintain workflow.
Operate conveyors, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment safely and efficiently.
Use a forklift when required and certified to do so.
Follow company safety protocols, including proper lifting techniques and use of protective gear.
