About The Position

The Material Handler-Loader fills customer orders using tickets or voice instructions. Orders are filled to set quotas, manually by walking and using pallet jacks or riding jacks. The role involves identifying products and quantities, moving products to the staging area, and checking picking accuracy. Additional duties include housekeeping, completing daily powered equipment inspection forms, reading orders and requisitions to determine items to move or distribute, sorting items onto pallets in a predetermined sequence, marking materials with identifying information, recording quantities received or distributed, counting items to ensure they meet Company standards, and performing other duties assigned by management.

The role is in Coca-Cola UNITED’s Gulf States division and follows a Sunday–Thursday schedule. Regular, prompt attendance is essential. The position requires compliance with company safety policies and PPE requirements, including wearing safety-toed shoes for specified tasks involving powered equipment and palletized products.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Use personal protective equipment as required by the position and comply with UNITED safety policies.
• Maintain regular and prompt attendance.

• Have less than a high school education, up to one month of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Comply with the CCBCU Personal Protective Equipment Program and wear safety-toed shoes when performing specified tasks.

Responsibilities

• Fill orders from tickets according to set quotas.

• Identify products by description and quantity, remove them from their area, and carry them to the staging area.
• Check picking accuracy.
• Maintain general housekeeping.
• Complete daily powered equipment inspection forms.
• Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.
• Sort and place materials or items on pallets according to a predetermined sequence, such as size, type, or product code.
• Mark materials with identifying information.
• Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.
• Count items for distribution within the plant to ensure conformance to Company standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
