About The Position

Builders FirstSource is seeking a dependable, safety-focused Material Handler/Loader for its Auburn, Washington millwork facility. This entry-level position involves moving, handling, storing, and organizing materials and finished products throughout a manufacturing and production facility. The role includes hands-on, on-the-job training and an opportunity to develop skills in a production setting. It is part of the Local Carpenters 2671 Union.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• No previous experience required.
• Willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
• Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and climb as required.
• Ability to perform physically demanding work in a production environment.
• Candidates must complete the pre-employment drug testing process, which includes marijuana testing.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).

Responsibilities

• Safely handle, move, lift, carry, and stack raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
• Operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment, including equipment requiring specialized training and certification.
• Transport materials efficiently to support production and operational goals.
• Follow established procedures and work instructions to maintain productivity and quality standards.
• Learn and apply operational processes through on-the-job training from supervisors and experienced team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
• Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
• Identify and communicate opportunities to improve workplace safety and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
