About The Position

The Material Handler/Loader is an entry-level role in a millwork manufacturing and production facility in Auburn, Washington. The position handles the movement, storage, and organization of materials and finished products throughout the facility to support production and operational goals. Hands-on training is provided, with an opportunity to develop skills in a manufacturing and production setting. The position is part of the Local Carpenters 2671 Union.

Requirements

Willingness to learn through on-the-job training.
Frequently lift and carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and carry materials weighing up to 80 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, push, pull, and climb as required.
Ability to perform physically demanding work in a production environment.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred.

Responsibilities

Safely handle, move, lift, carry, and stack raw materials, components, and finished products throughout the facility.
Operate motorized and non-motorized material-handling equipment, including equipment requiring specialized training and certification.
Transport materials efficiently to support production and operational goals.
Follow established procedures and work instructions to maintain productivity and quality standards.
Learn and apply operational processes through on-the-job training provided by supervisors and experienced team members.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
Follow company safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
Attend required safety meetings and training sessions.
Identify and communicate opportunities to improve workplace safety and operational efficiency.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
