Material Handler 1st shift- $22.09/hr
About The Position
The Material Handler moves product and components to and from packaging lines and loads and unloads trucks. The role keeps production lines supplied with the correct components to support continuous operation, operates and maintains stretch-wrappers and other equipment, and ensures finished products are properly wrapped and documented. The Material Handler safely operates and maintains forklifts, reports problems to the lead operator, performs other tasks as directed by a lead or supervisor, fills in on the line as needed, and trains other team members. The position must follow all safety, FDA, GMP, and GDP requirements.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Forklift driving skills.
- Understanding of the resource needs list.
- Ability to function in a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Move product and components to and from packaging lines.
- Load and unload trucks and trailers.
- Supply production lines with the proper components to maintain continuous operation.
- Operate and maintain stretch-wrappers and other equipment.
- Operate and maintain forklifts safely.
- Maintain proper product documentation, identification, and records.
- Ensure outgoing product is properly loaded and documented.
- Ensure finished products are properly skid-wrapped.
- Report problems and unacceptable quality to the lead operator immediately.
- Perform other tasks as directed by a lead or supervisor.
- Fill in on the production line as needed.
- Train other team members.
- Follow safety, FDA, GMP, and GDP requirements.
