About The Position

The Parts/Material Handler is responsible for safely transporting raw materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished goods throughout the manufacturing facility to support production operations. This position ensures materials are delivered accurately and on time, maintains inventory integrity, and helps sustain efficient production flow while adhering to all safety and quality standards. Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Previous manufacturing, warehouse, material handling, or inventory experience preferred
  • Regular standing and walking throughout the shift.
  • Frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, twist, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, moving machinery, and varying temperatures.
  • Manufacturing: 1 year (Required)
  • Material Handling/Part Mover: 1 year (Required)
  • Ability to Commute: Cleveland, OH 44125 (Required)

Responsibilities

  • Move materials, components, and finished products between departments and work centers.
  • Supply production lines with required materials to support scheduled manufacturing activities.
  • Remove completed products and scrap materials from production areas.
  • Operate material handling equipment including pallet jacks, carts, hand trucks, and forklifts (if certified).
  • Verify part numbers, quantities, and destinations before transporting materials.
  • Perform inventory transactions using scanners, production paperwork, or ERP systems as required.
  • Maintain accurate material movement records and inventory counts.
  • Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas in accordance with 5S practices.
  • Identify and report material shortages, damaged product, and inventory discrepancies.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at improving material flow and efficiency.
  • Follow all company safety, quality, and environmental procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
