About The Position

Dal-Tile, a subsidiary of Mohawk Industries and a major U.S. manufacturer of tile and natural stone, is seeking an experienced Material Handler to work in its distribution center. The role operates powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and move them to packing or shipping areas. Equipment identified for the position includes reach trucks, cherry pickers, sit-down forklifts, and electric pallet jacks. This is a first-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:45 PM, with a pay rate of $24.80. The associate uses warehouse systems, verifies stock and order accuracy, and follows operating and safety procedures. The position involves frequent standing and handling of items, with occasional exposure to moving machinery, airborne particles, varied temperatures, and loud noise. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent experience.
Certified Sit-Down Forklift Operator.
At least 3 years of previous distribution or warehouse experience.
At least 6 months of previous stand-up forklift or order-picker equipment experience.
Must be Dal-Tile certified to operate powered industrial trucks.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Good record-keeping skills and listening skills.
Accurate measurement capability.
Ability to understand and speak basic English.
Ability to work safely and conscientiously.

Responsibilities

Operate powered industrial trucks to pick customer orders and convey them to packing or shipping areas.
Use order picker equipment or a stand-up forklift to assemble orders from stock and place them on pallets.
Use warehouse systems, including a Warehouse Management System (WMS).
Verify stock availability and audit orders for accuracy.
Monitor equipment and processes and report problems to a supervisor.
Follow standard operating and safety procedures.
Keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.
Perform other related duties as required.
