About The Position

UCT is seeking a Material Handler III to join its team in Hillsboro, Oregon. The role performs safe and accurate material-handling work while adapting to workload priorities, and requires proficiency in Material Handler I and II responsibilities. The position also leads and coaches team members, supports continuous improvement, and handles inventory, reporting, and shipping documentation.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Forklift certification as required.
Advanced proficiency in Material Handler I and II responsibilities.
Strong leadership skills, including the ability to train, coach, and motivate team members.
Knowledge of 5S principles and ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
Skill using ERP systems for inventory management and complex form completion.
Ability to prepare shipping documentation and track freight using carrier software.
Effective communication skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Commitment to safety and operational efficiency in material-handling activities.

Nice To Haves

Two to four years of experience using computers, ERP systems, and bar-coded software is highly desired.
Two to four years of experience in any type of material distribution environment is desired.

Responsibilities

Perform material-handling tasks safely and accurately, adapting to workload priorities.
Demonstrate proficiency in Material Handler I and II responsibilities.
Lead small teams and exercise independent judgment to accomplish tasks effectively.
Train and coach team members on written processes and performance improvement.
Identify opportunities for 5S improvement and engage team members in implementation.
Create and manipulate Excel files for operational reporting and data analysis.
Share data and coordinate activities with internal and external departments.
Order supplies and maintain accurate inventory records in ERP systems, including the Cycle Count Module.
Complete commercial invoices and SED documentation using export control information.
Track freight and prepare bills of lading using carrier-related software.
Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and scales safely and effectively.
Perform repetitive motion tasks, including twisting and bending, as required.
