About The Position

The Material Handler II is responsible for auditing finished goods, loading and unloading transportation vehicles, assembling customer orders, and moving materials throughout the facility. The position reports directly to a designated supervisor or team leader. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with a starting pay rate of $19.25 and pay progression.

Requirements

At least one year of experience operating a reach truck or cherry picker machine.
At least one year of experience with picking processes.
High school diploma or equivalent; the company-paid GEDWorks program may be substituted.
Ability to safely operate material handling equipment and obtain and maintain a valid forklift certification or license.

Nice To Haves

RF gun experience is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

Select and assemble materials from storage locations; ensure orders are complete, packed or repacked as necessary, appropriately labeled and marked, and moved to staging areas.
Load and unload trucks safely and precisely.
Operate material handling equipment, including industrial trucks, while following safety protocols.
Audit finished goods received from production and accurately complete related documentation.
Deliver component materials to designated work areas as directed by the supervisor.
Inspect and perform routine maintenance on powered material handling equipment; identify, document, and communicate malfunctions, defective materials, and other irregular conditions.
Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient work environment.
Comply with established safety guidelines and regulations.
Adhere to the posted production schedule.
Generate inventory control data for pallets and outbound shipments as requested.
Compile and submit end-of-shift reports.
Perform other duties as assigned.
