About The Position
The Material Handler I moves glass and/or metal materials between locations to expedite production throughout the plant. The role includes loading and unloading products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, and wood crates, and reports to the Production Supervisor. This position is based in Perrysburg and pays $26.70 per hour to start. The role suits someone with attention to safety, quality, and efficiency, a strong work ethic and reliability, and problem-solving ability. Requirements
- Prior work experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize work to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work overtime when required.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Ability to stand and move around on a concrete floor for 8–10 hours per day.
- Ability to withstand moderate-to-high noise levels in the work environment.
- Prior work history in a plant facility exposed to regional climate conditions, including heat, cold, and humidity.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from tables, rolling racks, delivery trucks, and wood crates.
- Read work orders and follow job standards for safety, quality, and production.
- Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages.
- Read and interpret basic mathematical measurements and use a tape measure effectively.
