About The Position

The Material Handler I safely moves materials to production areas on time to avoid downtime. The role maintains accurate, organized inventory and supports efficient use of production-floor and storage space. It also maintains housekeeping and appearance according to 5S standards in assigned and common production areas.

Responsibilities

• Safely move materials to production areas on time to avoid downtime.
• Check that containers are labeled properly with the correct part numbers and quantities.
• Maintain and consolidate racks and inventory to maximize space.
• Maintain inventory accuracy in assigned areas and promptly report inaccuracies to inventory.
• Pull the oldest products and partial containers first to rotate inventory.
• Maintain housekeeping and appearance to 5S standards in assigned areas and common production areas.
• Identify ways to maximize space in production-floor and storage areas.
• Identify ways to deliver materials to production work areas with less effort.
