About The Position
WSI is currently seeking Material Handlers/Forklift Operators for a new operation in South Bend, IN. Shifts available: Monday to Friday (8:00am - 4:30pm). Overtime as required. This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed in this position; they are only the major duties.
Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 55 lbs.
- Must be reliable and safety-minded
- Must have a strong work ethic
- Excellent attention to detail
- Forklift certified or able to obtain certification
- Ability to operate material handling equipment
- Willing and eager to learn
- Solid work history
- Pass pre-employment background and post offer drug screen/physical.
Responsibilities
- Operates material handling equipment as required to receive, store, process orders, and ship material.
- Performs receiving and shipping inspections and identifies all incoming and outgoing material shipments to determine: a) quantity is as ordered b) no damage is apparent, and c) documentation is available as required.
- Performs physical material inventories to establish, maintain, and document the receipt, shipment and control of sample inventories.
