About The Position

WSI is seeking Weekend Shift Material Handlers/Forklift Operators for its distribution center. Under general supervision, this role performs technical and clerical assignments to receive, inspect, store, and ship materials, including receipt, control, preparation, distribution, and maintaining records and reports. The employee receives general direction on new assignment aspects and instructions on required tasks and expected results.

Requirements

Understand, read, and write basic English.
Perform basic addition, subtraction, and multiplication.
Read and understand the English alphabet.
Coordinate multiple activities simultaneously.
Be willing and able to work as part of a team.
Work independently with little or no supervision.
Be observant, detail-oriented, and safety-oriented.
Lift at least 55 pounds throughout the day.
Understand and adhere to all safety requirements.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees.

Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

Operate material handling equipment to receive, store, and ship material.
Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments and identify them to verify quantities, check for apparent damage, and confirm required documentation is available.
Perform physical material inventories and document receipt, shipment, and control of materials.
Lift at least 55 pounds consistently and regularly.
Work overtime and on scheduled days off with little or no advance notice.
Perform other duties as assigned.
