About The Position

The Material Coordinator will be responsible for the efficient and accurate management of materials and equipment for Primoris Energy Services projects, ensuring timely availability and proper inventory control.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in material coordination, warehousing, or logistics, preferably within the energy or construction industry.
  • Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and work in various weather conditions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to material handling and storage.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect, store, and issue materials and equipment according to project specifications and company procedures.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through a computerized inventory management system, performing regular cycle counts and reconciliations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, procurement, and vendors to ensure material delivery schedules are met and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
  • Prepare and process necessary documentation for material requisitions, purchase orders, transfers, and returns.
  • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials, including hazardous materials, in compliance with safety regulations.
  • Conduct regular audits of material stock to identify obsolete, damaged, or excess inventory and recommend disposition.
  • Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and other vehicles.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in the warehouse and storage areas.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding material status and potential issues.
