About The Position

The Material Coordinator I supports manufacturing operations in Moline, Illinois, by maintaining and improving inventory accuracy, supporting daily production goals, and leading projects related to inventory accuracy, material replenishment, and material presentation. The role works cross-functionally with production, warehouse, supply management, and engineering teams. It is a 12-month contract with a possible extension, scheduled for the first shift from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Overtime may be requested, and weekend work may be required to support production.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience; recent graduates with internships and/or projects may also be considered.
• Experience with manufacturing operations, including material flow and inventory management.
• Experience with data analysis and advanced problem-solving.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams.
• Experience working cross-functionally with production, warehouse, supply management, and engineering teams.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed to support production.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
• Recent warehouse experience may be considered, though this is not a warehouse role.
• Experience with SAP materials management or warehouse management modules.
• Experience in supply management or operations.
• Experience with the production system.
• Experience working with a unionized workforce.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve inventory accuracy by resolving discrepancies, analyzing root causes, and driving corrective actions.
• Support manufacturing operations as part of a cross-functional team working to meet daily production goals.
• Lead projects related to inventory accuracy, material replenishment, and material presentation for the assigned production department.
