Match Assembly - 2nd and 3rd Shifts - Supplemental

About The Position

As a Match Bench Assembler at Caterpillar Pontiac, you will sort engine components, check for defects, and continuously improve process efficiency. The role performs varied tasks to prepare components for shipment and repetitive manual and/or machine operations that process parts, materials, equipment, and supplies through manufacturing stages. The positions are supplemental, with 36 or more hours per week. Supplemental employees do not receive holiday pay and have limited benefits. Training takes place on first shift, Monday through Friday. Second shift runs Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.; third shift runs Sunday through Thursday, 11:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Starting pay is $20.40 per hour, with a $1.00-per-hour night shift premium. Relocation assistance is not available.

Requirements

At least 3 months of experience in a manufacturing or engine maintenance role.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
Ability to follow written instructions, such as schematics, standard work, and/or blueprints.
Strong commitment to safety and teamwork.
