About The Position

The Massage Therapist delivers professional, meticulous, relaxing, and exemplary spa services to guests and staff at The Spa at Sec-he. The role provides massages and treatments described in the spa brochure or specials, maintains service standards and retail sales goals, stays informed about wellness trends, equipment, and products, and maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with applicable requirements and policies. The position is on call and has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid California State/County/City Massage License and practicing insurance.
• At least 2 years of professional massage and/or esthetics experience.
• Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
• Ability to stand, move, and work throughout the office area and properties, including walking up to 1½ miles, climbing stairs, and sitting at a desk or workstation for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to grasp, bend, lift, carry, or otherwise move goods weighing at least 35 pounds intermittently.
• Sufficient hand dexterity to use office equipment, including a computer keyboard, calculator, general office equipment, and a multi-line telephone.

Nice To Haves

• Current CPR/First Aid certification.
• Valid California State Esthetician or California Cosmetology license, if performing esthetics services.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent guest service and maintain Forbes 5 Star and Ace Service Standards.
• Achieve weekly retail sales goals.
• Conduct massages and treatments as outlined in the Spa brochure or specials.
• Stay up to date and knowledgeable about current wellness trends, equipment, and spa products.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in accordance with applicable state, local, OSHA, and MSDS mandates.
• Comply with applicable Tribal regulations, internal controls, policies, and procedures.
• Immediately document and report exceptions, variations, or deviations upon awareness.
