About The Position
Dr. Wilkinson's Backyard Resort & Mineral Springs is seeking massage therapists to provide professional, therapeutic, and rejuvenating massage therapies and body treatments to spa guests. The role may be full-time or part-time; weekend availability is required. Pay is $16.99 per hour, plus the potential to earn $40.00–$62.00 per service, including tips. The therapist performs massage and bodywork services according to established protocols and treatment times, responds to guest needs, and provides personalized service. The position also supports spa operations, maintains service and cleanliness standards, promotes services and products, and follows company policies and safety procedures. This is a non-exempt position requiring standing and moving at least 75% of the time.

- Adhere to state sanitation laws and requirements.
- Ability to learn new spa services to meet the needs of the spa.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with coworkers and the public.
- Courteous, friendly, and professional manner.
- Understanding of sales and the importance of meeting goals.
- Trustworthy and reliable.
- Patience and tact when accommodating customer needs and resolving occasional difficult situations.
- Weekend availability is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform massage and bodywork services, including table and chair massage, body treatments, bath treatments, and foot treatments, following established protocols and allotted treatment times.
- Respond to guest needs and requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide personalized guest service with an enthusiastic and helpful attitude.
- Conserve and monitor spa supplies and assets.
- Complete daily shift checklists, replenish supplies, clean equipment, and restock laundry.
- Attend scheduled treatment and product knowledge training sessions.
- Set and maintain high standards of service and cleanliness.
- Assist in training other team members as directed.
- Assist with special projects, events, and promotions as needed.
- Promote spa services and products throughout the property.
- Help with spa operations when time permits and as requested.
- Upsell treatments when appropriate.
- Provide written recommendations for home-care products and treatments when appropriate.
- Represent the spa and hotel positively and professionally as requested.
- Market the spa internally and externally, attend special events when requested, and build relationships.
- Comply with company policies and procedures.
- Immediately report suspicious occurrences and hazardous conditions.
- Maintain clean and safe work areas.
- Follow company safety standards, including proper equipment handling.
- Attend mandatory meetings as directed.
- Perform other tasks, including cross-training, as directed.
