About The Position

Hotel Ivy is hiring for a dual-role spa position responsible for providing massage and esthetic services, including facials, to guests and members of Anda Spa and Fitness. The role includes reviewing guest intake forms, selecting suitable treatments, and documenting medical history, services, skin analysis, and product recommendations in the spa computer system. The therapist is expected to provide a welcoming, therapeutic guest experience while maintaining confidentiality, professional boundaries, treatment protocols, and a clean clinic environment. Weekend work is required.

Requirements

Current state cosmetology or Esthetician’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of two years of experience in esthetics.
In-depth knowledge of current esthetic industry techniques, equipment, services, and products.
Willingness to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
Customer-service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with clients, clinic management, fellow therapists, and sales staff.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, and push carts up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Good dexterity in fingers, wrists, and hands, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and move throughout the spa and continuously perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
Availability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and members in a professional, friendly manner.
Select appropriate spa treatments based on client needs after reviewing intake forms.
Perform spa treatments within the scope of training and follow draping protocols.
Complete accurate and legible client intake notes.
Create an excellent experience through therapeutic touch and a friendly attitude.
Promote the health and wellness benefits of spa treatments and recommend service frequency.
Safeguard client information and confidentiality.
Maintain professional boundaries and avoid dual relationships with clients.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and clinic, including a clean and pressed uniform, proper table dressing and draping, and a clean therapy room.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
