About The Position

Hotel Ivy is seeking a Massage Therapist to perform spa services for hotel guests and spa members. The role includes reviewing guest intake forms, selecting appropriate treatments, documenting medical history and services in the spa computer system, and providing a welcoming, therapeutic experience. The therapist is expected to protect client confidentiality, maintain professional boundaries, and keep their appearance and treatment room clean and professional. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

Current state cosmetology or esthetician's license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience in esthetics.
In-depth knowledge of current esthetic industry techniques, equipment, services, and products.
Ability to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
Customer-service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with clients, clinic management, fellow therapists, and sales staff.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, and push carts weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Good dexterity in fingers, wrists, and hands, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and move throughout the spa and continuously perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences, including supervisors, coworkers, and the public.
Weekend availability is required.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and members in a professional, friendly manner.
Review client intake forms and select appropriate spa treatments based on each client's needs.
Perform spa treatments within the scope of training and follow draping protocols.
Complete accurate and legible client intake notes, and record relevant information in the spa computer system.
Create a positive guest experience through therapeutic touch and a friendly attitude.
Promote the health and wellness benefits of spa treatments and recommend service frequency tailored to each client.
Safeguard client information and confidentiality.
Maintain professional boundaries and avoid dual relationships with clients.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and keep the clinic and therapy room clean, including following table-dressing and draping protocols.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly, including weekends.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
