About The Position

Hotel Ivy is seeking a Massage Therapist to perform spa services for guests and members of Anda Spa and Fitness. The role includes reviewing client intake forms, selecting appropriate treatments, performing services within the scope of training, and documenting client information, services performed, skin analysis, and product recommendations in the Spa Computer System. The therapist is expected to provide a professional, welcoming experience while maintaining client confidentiality, professional boundaries, and a clean therapy room and appearance. Weekend availability is required.

Requirements

Current state cosmetology or esthetician’s license.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least two years of experience in esthetics.
In-depth knowledge of current esthetic industry techniques, equipment, services, and products.
Willingness to maintain the highest levels of confidentiality regarding guests and staff.
Customer-service orientation and ability to communicate effectively with clients, clinic management, fellow therapists, and sales staff.
Ability to lift, bend, stoop, walk, and push carts weighing up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Good dexterity in fingers, wrists, and hands, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to stand and move throughout the spa and continuously perform essential job functions, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to adapt communication style to different audiences.
Availability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and members in a professional, friendly manner.
Review client intake forms and select appropriate spa treatments based on client needs.
Perform spa treatments within the scope of training and follow draping protocols.
Complete accurate and legible client intake notes.
Create a positive experience through therapeutic touch and a friendly attitude.
Promote the health and wellness benefits of spa treatments and recommend service frequency based on each client.
Safeguard client information and maintain confidentiality.
Maintain professional boundaries and avoid dual relationships with clients.
Maintain a clean, professional appearance and keep the therapy room clean, following table dressing and draping protocols.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work regularly, including weekends.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
