About The Position

This is a Student Employment position for a Masonicare Resident Delivery Intern within the Office of Community Engagement. This role is designated as Federal Work-Study. The intern will be responsible for coordinating delivery requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of resident orders with appropriate tracking. They will communicate professionally with residents, nursing staff, and other departments to facilitate smooth delivery operations. The position also involves identifying opportunities to improve the delivery program's efficiency, accessibility, and resident experience, participating in the testing and evaluation of new processes, and collecting feedback for continuous improvement. Additionally, the intern will assist with inventory awareness and coordination between the Convenience Store, Gift Shop, and delivery service, while maintaining confidentiality of resident information and adhering to organizational policies and HIPAA guidelines. Providing exceptional customer service and supporting special projects are also key aspects of this role.

Requirements

  • Current enrollment in a program related Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Management, Public Health, or a related field preferred.
  • Interest in working with older adults in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
  • Positive, creative, and dependable.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, organization, and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to follow directions, work as part of a team, and assist with light program setup.

Nice To Haves

  • Past experience in retail, customer service, food service or delivery services preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate delivery requests and ensure timely, accurate delivery of resident orders with appropriate tracking.
