About The Position

The Marshall provides professional, courteous customer service to members and guests on the golf course. The role enforces club rules concerning golf etiquette and play while helping maintain pace of play and a positive experience for all players. The Marshall works with golf operations staff to address course issues, support club standards, and ensure smooth service.

Requirements

Ability to walk long distances and carry heavy bags weighing up to 75 pounds for extended periods.
Strong communication skills and ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff.
Excellent knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and best practices.
Positive attitude and commitment to outstanding service.
High attention to detail and reliability.
Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
Ability to perform the physical activities listed, including sitting, standing, walking, climbing, squatting, kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing, pulling, twisting, bending, talking, hearing, and seeing.
Ability to work primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in a similar role or extensive knowledge of golf.

Responsibilities

Advise members and guests on golf course etiquette, help with lost balls, and provide rides upon request.
Inform members and guests about club offerings, features, events, and golf shop specials.
Maintain a scheduled presence on the course and coordinate with starters or other golf operations staff to report incidents or issues.
Enforce golf course rules consistently and address violations professionally and courteously.
Repair ball marks when possible, fill divots with topsoil, pick up loose items, and straighten cart guidance ropes and supports.
Collaborate with outside services, range attendants, cart attendants, and other golf operations staff to provide efficient service.
Complete assigned-area duties to club standards, including keeping the course free of trash, restocking supplies, and maintaining tidy signage.
Assist others and take on additional duties as assigned by management.
Follow company, club, and department policies, procedures, instructions, and safety practices.
Maintain professionalism and a commitment to excellence when interacting with members, colleagues, and staff.
Pursue personal and professional growth and maintain any required role-related certifications.
Address and resolve challenges using available resources and work with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
Attend daily briefings and participate in required activities.
Follow attendance requirements in the weekly schedule, work additional hours as needed, and be available to work weekends and holidays as required.
