About The Position

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing, this position is responsible to perform and maintain all clerical and administrative services for the Bakersfield Family Medical Group (BFMG) and Coastal Communities Physician Network (CCPN) Marketing Department. The Marketing Coordinator will interact with other departments, clinical personnel, and outside members/providers/vendors in a professional and friendly manner, to create and maintain a positive relationship with internal and external customers.

Requirements

  • One (1) year of experience with extensive public contact and/or public speaking.
  • Proficient with computer programs, i.e., Microsoft Office Suites, Adobe Illustrator, Canva, required.
  • Must have a valid California Driver's License and current vehicle insurance with clean driving record.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Able to work as a team player and independently.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration preferred.
  • Experience in social media and/or advertising design preferred.
  • Experience with photography/videography, preferred.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish, preferred.
  • Experience in working with seniors (65+), preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory control of office supplies and marketing materials (brochures, letters, promotional items, etc.), notifying the Marketing Manager as needed.
  • Assist in maintaining all social media platforms under the guidance of the Marketing team.
  • Assist with the development and design of advertising, brochures, flyers, and posters as needed, with guidance from the Marketing team.
  • Assist with new content creation and updating both markets' websites, with guidance from the Marketing team.
  • Answer phones, including screening calls for the marketing department, daily review of voicemails, assisting with member calls regarding marketing events and membership, and forwarding advertising/sponsorship calls to appropriate team members.
  • Assist and conduct call campaign projects with members, documenting and maintaining reports (Teams) of calls made, including assisting the eligibility department with PCP updates, verifying member eligibility, following up with senior members regarding termination reasons, and updating membership term reports.
  • Assist with marketing events, including organizing/delivering marketing materials and promo items, tracking RSVPs, coordinating senior activities (Coffee Club, Health Talk Bingo, Arts and Crafts, Senior Expo, etc.), and coordinating meals and refreshments for events.
  • Provide clerical assistance to the marketing department, including maintaining team calendars, setting up marketing meetings/events, maintaining department files and information spreadsheets, opening and distributing mail, maintaining the marketing conference room calendar, creating and submitting check requests, and submitting maintenance requests for conference room setup.
  • Assist with marketing mailers for the company, including senior activity postcards, senior birthday cards, flu shot clinics, new member kits, and miscellaneous mailers. Handle returned mail by opening and keeping reusable material, logging it, and updating forwarding addresses.
  • Communicate verbally and in writing through proper channels.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
