Requirements

  • At least 1 year of marketing experience and bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Ability to maintain a seated or standing position for extended durations.
  • Capability to lift 15 pounds periodically.
  • Able to navigate and access all facilities.
  • Skill to effectively communicate verbally with others, both in-person and via electronic devices.
  • Close vision for computer-related tasks.

  • Prior experience in marketing operations, marketing coordination, or a similar role is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure accurate and timely execution of promotions across marketing channels.
  • Manage co-op activities, including coordinating with vendors and partners to maximize marketing support and funding opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with co-op guidelines and requirements.
  • Partner with Purchasing on co-op initiatives.
  • Assist in new store marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate logistics, promotional materials, and communication related to these activities.
  • Responsible for event coordination with duties to include but not limit to the following: experience in event batch creation, sign creation and proofing, event proofing and testing and managing special event sales and promotions.
  • Actively participate in learning initiatives offered such as training programs, workshops, and webinars. Leverage these opportunities to acquire new knowledge, refine existing skills, and stay current on the latest developments.
  • Provide friendly, proactive, and professional internal and external support to others, assisting with inquiries, concerns, and issues promptly and effectively.

  • Assist with collection and documentation of invoices related to sponsorships and donations.
  • Manage sponsorships, events, fair participations and donations.
  • Serve as a point of contact for store communication, including answering store emails and addressing inquiries or concerns promptly related to sponsorships, events, fairs and donations.
  • Assist with the accounts payable team to code and process marketing-related invoices.
  • Ability to travel to events and represent Rural King appropriately.
  • Coordinate and partner with correct parties for major event promotions.
  • Support the marketing team with various activities, such as coordinating events, conducting market research, and assisting in the development of marketing strategies.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to identify potential sponsorship opportunities at local fairs within our target markets.
  • Assist in establishing relationships with fair organizers, negotiating sponsorship agreements, and ensuring proper branding and visibility at sponsored events.
  • Track sponsorship deliverables and provide post-event analysis to evaluate the effectiveness of each sponsorship.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
