About The Position

BIS Safety Software is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their team in Sherwood Park, Alberta. This role is a blend of marketing strategy and hands-on execution, focusing on building campaigns, refining messaging, and optimizing marketing systems. The position requires someone comfortable with a fast-paced environment, managing a high volume of marketing initiatives, and driving measurable progress. The ideal candidate will lead and develop a small marketing team, oversee the production of marketing materials, drive digital marketing efforts, and coordinate marketing systems and priorities. This is an in-person role.

Requirements

  • Experience leading people and building marketing systems.
  • Approximately 5-7 years of marketing experience.
  • Some experience coordinating or managing a small team.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and execution levels; a 'doer'.
  • Experience owning marketing campaigns or initiatives from start to finish with tangible outcomes.
  • Strong digital marketing knowledge including SEO, paid media, and website optimization.
  • Demonstrated strong judgment in evaluating messaging, copy, and campaign quality.
  • Comfortable using marketing data and performance signals to guide decisions.
  • Experience using AI solutions to improve speed and quality of work.
  • Mindset focused on continuous improvement.
  • Ability to think critically about messaging and positioning.
  • Thrives in fast-paced environments with a high volume of simultaneous marketing initiatives.
  • Humble, eager to learn, and willing to ask questions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in B2B or SaaS environments.
  • Operational marketing experience in a structured environment.
  • Experience with SEO strategy, content marketing, and digital campaign management.
  • Familiarity with marketing automation platforms, CMS tools, and analytics dashboards.
  • Working understanding of how to measure and improve marketing-qualified lead generation.
  • Experience building or improving marketing production processes and workflows.
  • Exposure to safety, training, compliance, or other regulated industry verticals.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the marketing team, including managing and mentoring, conducting 1-to-1s, providing direction, and ensuring alignment with company priorities.
  • Oversee marketing execution, including the production and refinement of website content, landing pages, campaigns, and promotional assets.
  • Drive digital marketing initiatives such as website optimization, landing page development, SEO, AEO, Google Ads, digital advertising programs, marketing analytics, campaign performance tracking, and conversion optimization.
  • Coordinate marketing systems and priorities, ensuring organization and intentionality of initiatives, prioritizing projects based on impact, refining messaging with leadership, and coordinating with internal teams and external partners.
