About The Position

Junior Achievement of South Florida is seeking a dynamic Marketing Manager who is passionate about leveraging creative storytelling, visual design, and strategic messaging to support impactful community initiatives. This role is ideal for a versatile marketing professional who thrives at the intersection of strategy and execution—someone who can craft compelling content, develop polished visual materials, and lead campaigns that elevate the organization’s mission and reach. In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to develop communications that engage stakeholders, showcase program success, and strengthen meaningful partnerships within the community.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on professional experience).
  • Strong understanding of core marketing principles, including brand management, audience segmentation, campaign strategy, and integrated communications.
  • Knowledge of visual communication best practices, including layout design, typography, and maintaining brand consistency across both print and digital platforms.
  • Proven background with digital marketing channels and strategies, including email marketing, website content management, and audience engagement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with nonprofit storytelling and the ability to help craft messaging that resonates with donors, volunteers, community partners, and broader audiences.
  • Working knowledge of marketing technologies such as email marketing platforms, content management systems (CMS), analytics/reporting tools, and emerging technologies including AI-assisted content tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop clear, engaging, and persuasive messaging tailored to a variety of audiences.
  • Strong graphic design and visual storytelling capabilities, including proficiency with platforms such as Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or comparable design tools.
  • Ability to create polished marketing and communication materials across print, digital, and presentation formats, including brochures, reports, infographics, presentations, and event collateral.
  • Well-developed project management and organizational skills, with the ability to balance multiple priorities, manage timelines effectively, and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, for presentations, reporting, and content development.
  • Analytical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to assess marketing performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and contribute innovative ideas and strategies.
  • Demonstrate the ability to combine strategic perspective with hands-on delivery in a dynamic, fast-moving environment.
  • Adapt messaging and visual elements to resonate with varied audiences while preserving a consistent brand identity.
  • Quickly learn and implement new tools and technologies that enhance marketing performance and efficiency.
  • Operate effectively both independently and within a team, maintaining a high level of ownership and professionalism.
  • Organize and maintain marketing assets and information with strong attention to structure and detail.
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods while working on a computer or during event production.
  • Ability to lift and carry event materials, such as signage, equipment, or promotional items, typically up to 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Create clear, engaging written materials tailored to a wide range of audiences, including donors, partners, educators, families, and community stakeholders.
  • Produce a wide range of content such as: Campaign collateral, Email communications, Brochures and flyers, Program descriptions, Presentations and impact summaries.
  • Maintain clear, compelling, and cohesive messaging across all communication channels and materials.
  • Design marketing assets for both print and digital use, including: Event materials, Infographics and reports, One-pagers, Signage and promotional items.
  • Champion and refine the organization’s brand identity, ensuring every creative asset brings its standards and visual voice to life.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to bring concepts to life, transforming ideas into visually compelling and polished marketing assets.
  • Elevate and continuously refine the organization’s brand identity, ensuring consistency in visual style, voice, and messaging across all creative deliverables.
  • Lead and oversee multiple marketing initiatives simultaneously, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on brand, and aligned with organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain clear project timelines, streamlined workflows, and effective review/approval processes for marketing and creative deliverables.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders to gather insights, coordinate messaging, and support organization-wide priorities and campaigns.
  • Support the development and execution of marketing strategies that advance fundraising efforts, strengthen community engagement, and increase awareness of organizational programs and initiatives.
  • Contribute creative ideas, compelling storytelling angles, and thoughtful messaging strategies to enhance campaign reach, audience connection, and overall effectiveness.
  • Assist in the planning, coordination, and production of campaign materials, including print collateral, promotional assets, and branded marketing content across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate closely with program, development, and leadership teams to understand their goals and create tailored materials that support mission-driven initiatives.
  • Offer creative and communications assistance across events, donor outreach efforts, program rollouts, and community-based initiatives.
  • Guide internal teams by sharing best practices in design, ensuring brand consistency, and enhancing the effectiveness of messaging across all initiatives.
