About The Position

This is a 12-month parental leave cover position within Australia’s largest hospitality business. The role is a unique opportunity to play a key part in shaping the future of ALH brands and making a lasting impact in the market. The Marketing Manager will lead the rebrand and relaunch of newly refurbished pubs, focusing on brand creation and growth initiatives. The role involves championing innovative strategies to elevate brand presence and drive impactful campaigns, leveraging market trends, customer insights, and creative storytelling. The Marketing Manager will craft compelling narratives, define brand identity, and launch engaging campaigns to reconnect venues with their communities. The role has two direct reports.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a marketing role, with experience in brand and campaign management.
  • Experience in developing and executing strategic plans over a 1-5 year horizon.
  • Creative flair and outside-the-box thinking to create innovative go-to-market strategies.
  • Experience in influencing internal stakeholders, including marketing teams and peers within a cross-functional business.
  • Experience managing direct reports, external agencies, and briefing creative teams.
  • Experience leveraging customer insights to derive a plan.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and influence effectively with all levels of teams across a complex matrix operating model.
  • Excellent presentation and data storytelling skills.
  • Project management and agile mindset/experience required.
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in marketing, or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in hospitality is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders (Operations, Commercial, Format teams) to develop and implement an innovative marketing growth program.
  • Lead initiatives to explore new creative concepts and innovative strategies that elevate brand presence.
  • Lead end-to-end campaign management, including coordinating with media and creative agencies and overseeing the development and execution of all media assets.
  • Continuously enhance ways of working by streamlining processes and fostering collaboration between external and internal stakeholders.
  • Oversee a diverse range of external agencies (creative and media), ensuring efficient and effective project execution.
  • Craft compelling creative briefs across all channels, ensuring concepts are on-brand, messages are clear, and customer journeys are seamless and engaging.
  • Develop a strong talent pipeline by providing regular feedback and creating development opportunities for direct reports.
