Marketing Lead

ViktorSan Francisco, CA
Onsite

About The Position

Viktor is an AI coworker that lives in Slack and Microsoft Teams, connects to thousands of tools, and does real work for companies in finance, marketing, ops, and engineering. The company is building a product that aims to replace half the SaaS stack with a single teammate. The team is small, but the scope of the role is not. This role is a founding seat for marketing as a function, working alongside the growth team. The company has just closed its Series A and is experiencing real traction in the AI coworker category. The growth team currently handles the marketing motion but is under-resourced for the expanding surface area. This role will own the marketing motion, complementing the growth team's focus on funnel mechanics. Within six months, marketing will be an established function within the company, built by the person in this role.

Requirements

  • Operator, not strategist; focus on shipping.
  • Ability to orchestrate a launch, brief a designer, push back on copy, coordinate with growth, and set up an event in the same week.
  • Strong taste and ability to identify and articulate issues with generic or corporate-sounding marketing materials.
  • High velocity and low ego; willingness to be wrong and change your mind based on results.
  • Highly organized with a preference for systems over memory.
  • AI-native; use Viktor as a daily workflow tool.
  • Ability to work at the speed the company moves.
  • Ability to hold all marketing activities and ensure nothing slips.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple teams (e.g., product, growth, creative).

Nice To Haves

  • Experience owning marketing at a B2B SaaS company between $10M and $100M ARR, understanding challenges at different stages.
  • Experience shipping a market-moving launch, not just a press release.
  • Experience working alongside a growth team and understanding the seam between marketing and growth.
  • Experience building a marketing function from a single person to a team and knowing hiring priorities.

Responsibilities

  • Own how Viktor sounds, looks, and lands in the world, covering newsletters, launches, the website, campaigns, customer stories, partner moments, social media, and events.
  • Run the full marketing surface end-to-end and ship at the company's fast pace.
  • Manage multiple marketing activities simultaneously, such as shaping a launch, sending a newsletter, standing up a campaign, and developing a customer story within the same day or week.
  • Orchestrate multi-channel marketing campaigns from brief to live, collaborating with the growth team on paid channels and the Creative Director on assets.
  • Own the editorial calendar for newsletters and lifecycle marketing, including briefing, editing, and shipping content, while working with growth on conversion mechanics.
  • Drive the iteration and quality of the website surface, including the homepage, product pages, pricing, and landing pages.
  • Commission, manage production, and ensure the quality of content and customer stories, aiming for market-remembered stories and attention-earning thought pieces.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director on brand and design direction, ensuring consistency across all surfaces.
  • Manage social media and external presence, including founder posts and company channels, briefing, coordinating, and shipping content.
  • Handle events, PR, partnerships, and analyst relations, including research, briefs, vendor management, logistics, and follow-through.
  • Ensure anything leaving the building with the company's name on it is improved through your involvement.
  • Ship your first week and talk to users on your first day.
  • Build and manage systems like an editorial calendar, launch tracker, and campaign queue.
  • Potentially hire for roles such as a writer, designer, content lead, or lifecycle marketer as the marketing function grows.

Benefits
