Marketing Lead

Brain Co.San Francisco, CA

About The Position

Brain Co. is hiring a Marketing Lead to be the #2 marketer on our team, reporting directly to the CMO. This is a high-visibility role with broad surface area: you’ll partner with our GTM team to scale across verticals and use cases, own demand generation, run our event strategy, and translate our positioning into the specific stories that resonate with different customers. We’re in a moment where the gap between what AI can do and how customers actually adopt it is the defining problem in our market. You’ll be the person who closes that gap in-market, taking our positioning and making it land for very different audiences: government, healthcare, and Fortune 500 enterprises. Above all, you’ll move quickly, iterate on how we go to market, and turn what our product can do into the reasons customers choose us. We’re looking for an experienced marketer with strong product marketing instincts, a growth mindset, and the hands-on energy of someone who has thrived in early-stage environments. The ideal candidate is a self-starter, comfortable pulling levers across the funnel, and genuinely excited to do the work themselves. No task is below them. This role reports to the CMO. There’s meaningful room to grow the scope and the function over time.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of marketing experience, with meaningful time at a tech company.
  • Track record running demand gen in B2B (campaigns, content, ABM) with a clear sense of which levers actually move pipeline.
  • Strong product marketing instincts: can take a positioning and translate it into the specific stories, assets, and campaigns that land with different verticals and buyers.
  • Growth-oriented mindset: comfortable pulling tactical levers, running experiments, and iterating quickly.
  • Excellent communicator, verbal and written; able to translate complex technical capabilities into clear, compelling stories for very different audiences.
  • Hands-on, self-starter mentality: comfortable doing the work yourself and producing “good enough” quickly rather than waiting for perfect.
  • Genuine excitement about AI. You’ve built agents, experimented with Claude, and have intuition for what the technology can and can’t do today.
  • Has thrived in early-stage environments; no ego, no task is below you.

Nice To Haves

  • Early experience at one or more startups, ideally as one of the first marketing hires.
  • Experience marketing to government, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
  • Background working closely with sales on enablement, ABM, and demand gen.
  • Comfortable and effective in front of customers.

Responsibilities

  • Take our positioning and translate it into the specific narratives, assets, and campaigns that resonate by segment: government, healthcare, regulated industries, and Fortune 500. Be the person who turns one platform story into many, each tuned to the buyer.
  • Own demand gen end-to-end. Generate qualified leads and help convert them. Pull levers across the top and middle of the funnel through campaigns, content, and account-based marketing, and measure what’s actually moving pipeline.
  • Build the enablement materials and customer-facing assets that help our GTM team close deals, and iterate quickly based on what’s working in the field.
  • Decide which conferences, summits, and industry moments are worth showing up at, then own execution end-to-end. Make sure each one ladders back to pipeline.
  • Work alongside the CMO, GTM leaders, product, and engineering to keep the story consistent externally and iterate quickly internally. Help leadership see how we’re showing up and where to push next.

Benefits

  • Competitive compensation including salary, equity, and performance incentives.
