About The Position

Orthopaedic Associates of Michigan (OAM) is West Michigan’s most established orthopaedic practice, providing exceptional, individualized care for patients of all ages. As the most comprehensive independent provider of musculoskeletal care in the region, OAM offers total care from diagnosis, to treatment, and rehabilitation, with access to specialized surgeons, physical and occupational therapists, MRI and X-ray services, orthopaedic bracing, a Bone Health Clinic, OAM Now Urgent Orthopaedic Care Clinic, and the Surgery Center at MidTowne. The teams at OAM work collaboratively to optimize treatment outcomes, ensuring smoother and faster recovery for patients, restoring their health so they can function fully in their desired activities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Currently pursuing an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, Graphic Design, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in marketing, communications, healthcare, or brand management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Creative thinking with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms, digital marketing, and content development.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Professional demeanor and customer-service orientation.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous internship, volunteer, academic, or work experience in marketing, communications, social media, public relations, or related areas.
  • Experience creating content for social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Familiarity with graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Interest in healthcare marketing and patient engagement strategies.
  • Ability to maintain phenomenal people skills while exhibiting a calm, courteous, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, and transport marketing materials weighing up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the planning, development, and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and traditional platforms.
  • Create, edit, and organize marketing content for social media, websites, email communications, newsletters, and promotional materials.
  • Support the maintenance and updating of website content to ensure information remains accurate and current.
  • Monitor and report on social media engagement, campaign performance, and digital marketing metrics.
  • Assist with photography, videography, and content gathering activities for marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate the collection and organization of marketing assets, including photos, graphics, videos, and branded materials.
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify industry trends and marketing opportunities.
  • Help maintain brand consistency across all internal and external communications.
  • Prepare marketing reports, presentations, and project summaries as assigned.
  • Assist with the review and proofreading of marketing materials to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain organized records of marketing projects, vendor communications, and campaign materials.
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to marketing projects and departmental operations.
  • Comply with all organizational policies, confidentiality requirements, and HIPAA regulations.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
