About The Position

State Farm agents market only State Farm insurance and financial service products. This role involves establishing customer relationships, providing prompt and accurate customer service, and managing website and social media content. The position requires a strong work ethic and a commitment to success. As an Agent Team Member, you will have opportunities for flexible hours, growth potential, and advancement within the agency. This is an opportunity to work with a busy, established, growth-oriented agency with a team of highly motivated individuals. The agency's mission is to help people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams. The office is located in Westland and is open from 9 am to 5 pm. The agent has been a State Farm agent since 2011 and previously worked as a State Farm Agent Team Member. The agency has 3 team members with 15 years of combined insurance experience and has received awards such as Ambassador Travel, Legion of Honor, and Senior Vice President's Club.

Requirements

  • Sales experience (outside sales or inside sales representative, retail sales associate, or telemarketing) preferred
  • Successful track record of meeting sales goals/quotas preferred
  • Enthusiastic about the role insurance and financial products play in helping people manage the risks of everyday life, recover from the unexpected, and realize their dreams
  • Property and Casualty license (must be able to obtain)
  • Personal Lines Licenses (must be able to obtain)
  • Selected candidate is expected to remain current in product changes, licensing, technical developments, and continuing education
  • Employees of State Farm agents must be able to successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.

Responsibilities

  • Establish customer relationships and follow up with customers, as needed.
  • Provide prompt, accurate, and friendly customer service.
  • Service can include responding to inquiries regarding insurance availability, eligibility, coverages, policy changes, transfers, claim submissions, and billing clarification.
  • Work with the agent to help manage the website and social media content.
  • Maintain a strong work ethic with a total commitment to success each and every day.
