About The Position

AssemblyAI is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to join their San Francisco office. This is a high-execution, broad-scope role for an organized and ambitious individual who enjoys managing complex logistics and making them appear effortless. The role involves responsibilities in field marketing, community engagement, campaign execution, and light office coordination. It is designed for someone who aspires to become a strong marketing operator, capable of translating clear direction into reliable, organized action. The position exists to support the expansion of field marketing programs in the San Francisco office, focusing on sponsoring third-party events, crafting executive dinners, and hosting community meetups to build relationships and awareness in the Voice AI market. This role will act as a force multiplier for the marketing team, enabling a higher volume of events, growth in local community presence, and execution support across campaigns and operations.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in a marketing, events, or operations role (internships and contract work count).
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to track tasks, details, and timelines without errors.
  • Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills for coordinating across multiple stakeholders.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving environment with shifting priorities.
  • Based in San Francisco; comfortable being in-person regularly.
  • Fluent with AI tools for daily work to enhance speed and efficiency.
  • Proactive communicator who flags issues early and ensures follow-through.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting events, field marketing, or community programs.
  • Familiarity with tools like Iterable, Luma, Looker.
  • Experience at a startup or high-growth tech company.
  • Exposure to email marketing operations, campaign coordination, or lifecycle programs.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate local community meetups and lighter-weight activations in San Francisco.
  • Manage invite management, RSVP tracking, reminders, venue coordination, materials preparation, and post-event follow-up.
  • Support relationship-building with community members, local partners, creators, and attendees.
  • Enhance the consistency and scalability of SF-based community initiatives.
  • Provide on-the-ground support at events, including setup, registration, and execution.
  • Support email campaign execution, including list coordination, QA, asset organization, and follow-through.
  • Contribute to recurring campaign workflows to ensure smooth and consistent marketing program operation.
  • Assist with campaign setup and tracking across event, lifecycle, community, and brand initiatives.
  • Learn marketing tools such as Iterable (or similar) and contribute to process improvement.
  • Assist in setting up and maintaining the SF office environment.
  • Coordinate ongoing office needs, including supplies, organization, vendor relationships, and light upkeep.
  • Serve as the in-person connective tissue for the SF presence, particularly during team visits and hosted events.
  • Collaborate with field marketing, growth, lifecycle, community, and brand teams to advance projects.
  • Bring structure and follow-through to ambiguous situations, flagging blockers, closing loops, and keeping stakeholders informed.
  • Operate effectively in an environment with rapidly shifting priorities where clear direction is essential.
