About The Position

This position supports Art Heals Arizona expansion programming by coordinating and executing key Art Heals Arizona programs such as Art Heals Days, the Weekly Mentor Program, Professional Artist Series, Camp Series, and others. This position also supports volunteer outreach, orientation, training, engagement, and retention activities for program capacity building and expansion efforts.

Requirements

Minimum of two years of practical work experience in a business setting.
Knowledge and experience using Windows, Microsoft Applications.
Must be able to have access to and provide reliable transportation for self.
An AZ driver’s license and proof of insurance is required for qualifying mileage reimbursements.
Must be able to obtain and hold a Fingerprint Clearance Card to be present around the children we serve.
This person frequently interacts with volunteers and constituents about the mission and vision of Art Heals Arizona.
Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

Nice To Haves

Ability to read and write in Spanish.
High proficiency and experience with Windows, Microsoft Applications, and CRM software (Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack or similar nonprofit CRM)

Responsibilities

Collaborates with community partners, artists and youth-serving organizations to facilitate arts programming.
Supports the volunteer enrollment process, including orientations, trainings, interviews and retention activities.
Works closely with volunteers to identify program opportunities that align with their skills, preferences and availability.
Develops and uses systems to organize and keep track of information and work progress.
Works effectively within established timeframes and priorities.
Utilizes logical, practical, and efficient approaches.
Monitors implementation of plans and makes adjustments as needed.
Collaborates with community partners and artists, designs art projects.
Plans and executes events and programs.
Identifies what needs to be done and takes action before being asked or the situation requires it.
Makes decisions in difficult situations when time is critical.
Approaches others with tact about sensitive issues.
Coordinates external communications (i.e. event signups, website blogs).
Schedules volunteers and interns as needed.
Promotes the transformative nature of resilience-building arts programs.

Advocates for the interests of children & partners.
Ensures that others involved in a project or effort are kept appropriately informed.
