About The Position

La Vaquita Flea Market is seeking a Marketing & Partnerships Manager to drive growth by converting its large weekly audience into sponsorship and advertising revenue, and by retaining shoppers through events, marketing, and brand presence. This new role will be responsible for selling partnerships, developing the events calendar, managing marketing contractors and AI tools, and reporting on results weekly. The position reports directly to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in closing sponsorship, advertising, or partnership deals.
  • Experience owning an events calendar or activation schedule and meeting deadlines.
  • Experience managing agencies, freelancers, or contractors to a specific standard.
  • Comfortable using AI tools to enhance output.
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English is strongly preferred and required for candidates whose background doesn't otherwise demonstrate deep credibility with Hispanic audiences and advertisers.
  • Based in or within commutable distance of Jefferson, GA.
  • Weekend presence on market days is an essential function.

Responsibilities

  • Package, price, pitch, and close sponsorships, on-site media placements, and brand activations with local and regional advertisers.
  • Manage sponsorship renewals, grow the sponsorship book, and develop a trackable and forecastable pipeline.
  • Own the annual events calendar, signature market weekends, seasonal promotions, and community activations.
  • Develop event strategy and partnerships, with Operations team handling on-the-ground execution.
  • Be accountable for event results, including attendance lift, community engagement, and earned media.
  • Direct contractors and AI tools for social media, content, website updates, and paid media.
  • Set standards, review work, give direction, and hold output to a measurable bar for marketing contractors and AI tools.
  • Own La Vaquita's public presence, including online reviews, ratings, local media coverage, and community relationships.
  • Track and report on foot traffic trends, campaign performance, sponsorship pipeline, and review ratings.
  • Analyze what's working, what's not, and develop strategies to address performance gaps.
