CardlessSan Francisco, CA
$170,000 - $215,000Onsite

About The Position

Cardless is a Series C consumer fintech that makes it easy for the world's largest brands to build credit cards into their ecosystems. Brands use Cardless to configure, launch, and grow credit card programs that delight their customers and strengthen their core business. The company has scaled significantly and is looking for a Product Marketing Manager, Brand Partnerships to own the visual layer of how Cardless presents itself to the outside world. This role involves creating partner pitch decks, product mockups, investor materials, and maintaining a design system to ensure a polished and differentiated card product. The position sits at the intersection of brand, product, and commercial strategy, translating strategy into visuals that drive deals forward. The role reports to the Head of Product and works closely with partnerships and business development teams, requiring a high volume of high-quality work on tight timelines.

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of product marketing / design experience, with a portfolio demonstrating high-quality work across presentations, product design, and brand materials.
  • Meaningful experience working in or alongside commercial teams (design agency serving financial or tech clients, in-house at a startup, or a role with direct exposure to sales or business development).
  • Experience marketing and designing for financial services or fintech is a strong plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate independently at high output, without a creative director managing every deliverable.
  • Expert-level fluency in Figma, including building components, maintaining libraries, and prototyping interactions.
  • Strong skills in presentation design, knowing when to use visuals versus words and making complex arguments feel simple.
  • Comfortable with Photoshop and image editing for professional asset production.
  • Fluent in current AI tools for design acceleration (image generation, layout suggestions, copy assistance).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including asking the right questions, giving and receiving feedback clearly, and explaining design decisions to non-designers.
  • Ability to calibrate quality to urgency and know when to ship a good-enough version versus holding out for excellent.
  • Must not require remote or hybrid work arrangements.

Nice To Haves

  • You should be able to design a card product without needing to be taught what a credit card is.

Responsibilities

  • Build Partner and Investor Presentation Materials: Design and maintain a library of pitch decks, translate complex concepts into visual narratives, own end-to-end production of presentation materials, and collaborate with the partnerships team to tailor materials.
  • Design Product Mockups and Prototypes: Build decks and materials using tools like PPT or Figma, create high-fidelity Figma mockups of card products and interfaces, ensure mockups are grounded in actual product capabilities, maintain a library of reusable design components, and iterate on designs based on feedback.
  • Think Through Product Construction: Participate in product discussions to translate decisions into visually compelling representations, flag design implications of product decisions, develop and maintain a design system, and contribute to the product roadmap by surfacing design constraints and opportunities.
  • Own the Cardless Visual Brand: Maintain and evolve the Cardless visual identity across all external-facing materials, ensure all assets reflect a high level of craft, use AI design tools to accelerate production, and build repeatable processes and templates.
