About The Position

Gulf Coast Educators Federal Credit Union is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Manager to lead marketing strategies, drive business growth, and build strong community relationships while supporting our mission of helping members achieve their financial goals. This position will be located at our Mortgage and Insurance building in Pasadena. This position requires regular travel using Credit Union vehicle. A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Requirements

  • Three years to five years of similar or related experience.
  • A two-year college degree, or completion of a specialized certification or licensing, or completion of specialized training courses conducted by vendors, or job-specific skills acquired through an apprenticeship program.
  • This position requires regular local travel using Credit Union vehicle.
  • Occasional business travel throughout Texas for business needs.
  • A valid driver's license is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Build, manage, and mentor high-performing marketing and business development team members.
  • Oversee branding, advertising, digital strategy, pricing, and the development of marketing business plans to promote products and services.
  • Oversee all business development initiatives, including identifying, evaluating, and securing new business opportunities, potential partnerships, and strategic alliances.
  • Analyzes relevant statistics for the Marketing and Business Development Strategic Plan and recommends appropriate changes when required.
  • Identify opportunities outside the greater Houston area. Work with our remote branches to develop presence in their area.
  • Develop and manage budgets related to marketing and business development to ensure the effective allocation of resources. This includes sponsorships, donations, giveaway items, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Identify educational conference sponsorship opportunities and coordinate all related tasks, including registration, employee travel, overall sponsorship ROI, and more.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners, clients, and vendors.
  • Responsible for compliance with Bank Secrecy Act and all governmental regulations and Credit Union policies and guidelines. Responsible for complying with Federal Rules and Regulations as required by NCUA.
  • Performs other job related duties as assigned.
