About The Position

Smartcat is seeking a Market Narrative & Communications Manager to define, shape, and amplify the company's market perception. This role is unique, focusing on owning the narrative and serving as an executive storytelling partner. The manager will collaborate with marketing leadership and executives to establish a clear, differentiated market point of view and disseminate it across social, media, and thought leadership channels. The core function is to integrate executive voice, category narrative, customer proof, and product positioning into a cohesive system that enhances awareness, credibility, and pipeline generation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in communications, content, or narrative-driven marketing roles.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, AI, or high-growth tech environments.
  • Proven ability to build executive presence and thought leadership.
  • Exceptional writing and storytelling skills.
  • Strong instincts for LinkedIn and modern content distribution.
  • Experience working with founders or senior executives.
  • Ability to simplify complex ideas into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, high-ownership environment.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and evolve Smartcat’s core narrative.
  • Translate product capabilities into compelling, differentiated market stories.
  • Ensure narrative consistency across website, campaigns, PR, and executive communications.
  • Build market-challenging points of view that create category separation.
  • Partner with executives to develop authentic, high-impact voices and a consistent executive presence.
  • Transform company moments, customer wins, and industry trends into leadership content.
  • Lead executive social strategy, primarily on LinkedIn, creating a repeatable content cadence.
  • Activate internal voices to amplify Smartcat’s story and use AI tools to scale content creation.
  • Drive a focused, high-impact PR strategy, developing story angles, bylines, and media pitches.
  • Manage external PR contractors or boutique agencies.
  • Identify speaking opportunities, podcasts, and awards that build credibility.
  • Partner with Product Marketing, Demand Gen, and Customer Marketing to amplify the narrative across the business.
  • Turn customer stories into market-facing narratives.
  • Support major launches, events, and announcements with strong storytelling.
  • Ensure alignment between messaging, product delivery, and market perception.
