About The Position

The Trinity Industries Commercial team is seeking a Market Analyst in Dallas, TX. The role provides market updates, reports, and forecasts relating to an industry view of commodities shipped by railcar. The Market Analyst reports through the Sales Operations organization and supports commercial, executive, and other sales support teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in Economics, Finance, Business, or Social Science.
• Financial and forecasting acumen.
• Ability to provide quantitative and qualitative research.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree.
• Data analysis and data visualization experience, such as Tableau, Qlik, or Power BI.
• Ability to code in SQL, Python, or R.
• Ability to leverage AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot.
• Salesforce or other CRM experience.

Responsibilities

• Aid in economic and market research, including covering a specific market group.
• Provide timely updates to market outlooks on specific markets.
• Provide support and reporting for commercial, executive, strategy, and pricing teams.
• Create data visualizations, presentations, and reports that make industry and internal data understandable and actionable.
• Relate current economic conditions to pricing and commercial opportunities.
• Assist with other sales operations-related tasks.
