About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the APCO 1P01 Fluency with Technology course for the Fall D2 term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The marker-grader will be responsible for assessing student work and providing written feedback. Compensation is based on the highest level of education completed by the employee, with rates effective September 1, 2026. Requirements

• Must have completed APCO 1P01 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
• Graduate of or Major in Computer Science with a minimum major average of 75%.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
• Potentially invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course.
• Potentially enter grades into databases at the request of the course instructor.
