About The Position

This job advertisement is to fill an existing vacancy for a Marker-Grader position in the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) for the course Introduction to Media Computation (APCO 1P00). Marker-Grader positions are paid according to the qualifications the employee holds, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases at the request of the course instructor. Requirements

• Must have completed APCO 1P00 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
• Graduate of or Major in Computer Science with a minimum major average of 75%.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
• Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
• Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
