About The Position

Brock University is seeking Marker-Graders for the COSC 4P83 Reinforcement Learning course for the Fall 2026 academic term. This position is paid according to the employee's qualifications, with rates ranging from $19.00/hour for first-year undergraduate completion to $36.00/hour for a completed Master's degree. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. Marker-graders may also be required to invigilate exams or enter grades into databases. Requirements

  • Must have completed COSC 4P83 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
  • Graduate of or Major in Computer Science with a minimum major average of 75%.
  • Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
  • Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
  • Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
