About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the COSC 2P03 Advanced Data Structures course for the Fall 2026 academic term. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 employee group. The compensation for this role is based on the highest level of education completed by the employee, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The duties involve marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams. Marker-graders are expected to provide written feedback to students, clearly identifying the basis of the grade. Additionally, they may be required to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases as requested by the course instructor. The Collective Agreement governs part-time Instructor, Teaching Assistant, Lab Demonstrator, Course Coordinator, and Marker-Grader positions at Brock University.

Requirements

• Must have completed COSC 2P03 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
• Graduate of or Major in Computer Science with a minimum major average of 75%.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.

Responsibilities
