About The Position
Brock University is seeking Marker-Graders for ACTG 2P31 Accounting for External Reporting I for the Fall D2 term. This position is paid according to the qualifications the employee holds, with rates effective September 1, 2026. The specific hours available may limit the number of positions filled. Positions are subject to course enrollments and budgetary approval. The Collective Agreement governs part-time Instructor, Teaching Assistant, Lab Demonstrator, Course Coordinator, and Marker-Grader positions at Brock University.
Requirements
- Must have completed ACTG 2P31 (or equivalent in English) and attained a grade of 80% or higher.
- Graduate of or Major in Accounting with a minimum major average of 75%.
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record of working effectively with deadlines.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience is considered an asset.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, whether due to substantive content, or to written communications, including spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization of the submission.
- May be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations for this course, or enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
