About The Position
Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for OPER 2P91 D2 & D3. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and falls under Operations Management. The role involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. The marker-grader may also be expected to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases. The compensation varies based on the highest level of education completed, with rates effective September 1, 2026.
Requirements
- Proven competency in the subject area.
- Minimum of 80% in the course being applied for (or equivalent).
- Overall average of 80%.
- Excellent English Language Skills.
- Academic Integrity and Professionalism.
- Proven track record of working effectively and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Nice To Haves
- Previous Marker/Grader experience would be an asset.
Responsibilities
- Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
- Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
- Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
- Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
