About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for the OPER 2P51 Fall D2 position. This role is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and falls under General Operations Management. The position is paid according to the qualifications of the employee, with rates effective September 1, 2026, ranging from $19.00/hour for first-year undergraduate completion to $36.00/hour for a completed Master's Degree. Requirements

Proven competency in the subject area.
Minimum of 80% in the course being applied for (or equivalent).
Overall average of 80%.
Excellent English Language Skills.
Academic Integrity and Professionalism.
Proven track record of working effectively and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
Members shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours (i.e., not overtime hours) allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.

Responsibilities

Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
