About The Position

Brock University is seeking a Marker-Grader for FNCE 4P04 Fall D2 & D3. This position is part of the CUPE4207-1 Employee Group and involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams for the Investment Analysis & Portfolio Management course. The marker-grader will provide written feedback to students, identifying the basis of the grade assigned. Additionally, the role may involve invigilating mid-terms and examinations, and entering grades into databases, as requested by the course instructor.

Requirements

• Proven competency in the subject area.
• A minimum of 80% in the course being applied for (or equivalent).
• An overall average of 80%.
• Excellent English Language Skills.
• Academic Integrity and Professionalism.
• Proven track record of working effectively and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Nice To Haves

• Previous Marker/Grader experience would be an asset.

Responsibilities

• Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
• Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
• Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
• Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.

• Compensation based on qualifications (Master’s Degree Complete: $36.00/hour, Undergraduate Degree Complete: $31.04/hour, Third Year Complete: $22.91/hour, Second Year Complete: $20.15/hour, First Year Complete: $19.00/hour). Rates effective September 1, 2026.
