About The Position

Brock University is seeking Marker-Grader positions for FNCE 4P05 Fall D2 & D3. This role is part of the CUPE4207-1 (Employee Group) within International Finance. The compensation for Marker-Grader positions is based on the qualifications of the employee, with different hourly rates for those who have completed a Master's Degree, an Undergraduate Degree, or specific years of an undergraduate honors degree. The position involves marking assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams, and providing written feedback to students. Additionally, marker-graders may be asked to invigilate mid-terms and examinations or enter grades into databases. Requirements

  • Proven competency in the subject area.
  • A minimum of 80% in the course being applied for (or equivalent).
  • An overall average of 80%.
  • Excellent English Language Skills.
  • Academic Integrity and Professionalism.
  • Proven track record of working effectively and completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Members shall not accept any appointment which, taken together with all other appointments at the University, would cause the member to exceed the maximum number of regular hours (i.e., not overtime hours) allowable in a work week under the Employment Standards Act, as amended from time to time.

Responsibilities

  • Mark assignments, term projects, case reports, midterms, progress exams, and/or final exams.
  • Provide written feedback to students that clearly identifies the basis of the grade assigned, including substantive content, written communications, spelling, punctuation, grammar, and overall structure and organization.
  • Invigilate mid-terms and examinations for the course, at the request of the course instructor.
  • Enter grades into databases, at the request of the course instructor.
